Engaging and exciting, the Melbourne Cabaret Festival is back from 19 June to 1 July 2018.

The Winter solstice marks the mid-point of winter and brings the promise of lighter days and new beginnings.

The 5th biennial Village Winter Festival is taking up residence at Newstead Racecourse for a one-day extravaganza on Saturday 23 June, 2018

The Family Fundays will feature a range of activities and entertainment, including live music, an animal farm, kids painting sessions, stilt walkers, face painting, fairy floss, popcorn, bubbles, plus art and craft activities.

A huge range of ex-hire rental costumes in different sizing will be available, including pop-culture characters, historical figures, fantasy favourites, uniforms, superhero costumes, retro wear and costume wigs and accessories.

A two-day conference will be held over the weekend of 23rd and 24th June.

Low Light Festival can be enjoyed as a day trip or why not make it a weekend away.

On the Saturday, there will also be a car boot sale where all manner of treasures and bric-a-brac can be found along with craft ware.

Celebrating the beautiful darkness, winter solstice at CERES honours the longest night of the year - the winter solstice.

Nineteen Greek wine producers will come direct from the motherland bringing a range of their wines for you to try, and a range of food from local restaurants will be available to purchase - full producer and restaurant lineup to be announced shortly.

Move over, open-air cinemas: Cinema in the Cellar has arrived.

This year Diamond Ball promises to be a magical evening, encompassing an impressive culinary experience, boutique wines, one-of-a-kind auction items, exclusive entertainment and a night you will never forget.

Check out the excellent zines, and snap up exclusive original artworks and craft made by young people!

Head down to The Tote to see the tradition of celebrating this astronomical event at The Tote (downstairs) on the night of the Solstice with food, music and art.

From 6 pm, you will join the Brown Family for a truly unique evening where the 15th release of the Patricia collection of wines will be celebrated at the winery located at 239 Milawa-Bobinawarrah Road, Milawa.
